Karina | Graduation Session | Las Cruces, NM

May 7, 2015

It's that time of year again where many will be walking across the stage to accept their degrees - a symbol of late night study sessions, lots of coffee, and many years of hard work. Karina is one of those graduates who I have had the pleasure of working alongside these past few years. She is such a shining example to her children and I know there will be so many patients blessed to have Karina as their nurse :)

Congratulations to Karina and everyone else who worked so hard these last few years!

The Leonard Family | Cloudcroft, NM

June 18, 2014

In the midst of 100+ degree weather, taking photos up in the fresh and cool mountain air was a very welcomed change. The last time we saw this family on the blog was when they were bringing home their newest addition. It's wonderful to see how God has knit this beautiful family together. I'd have to say that Jeremiah seems to be adjusting well to his new role as littlest brother (sister hair pulling and all). :)

Taking family photos with little ones can sometimes be a bit of a struggle - but they're almost always a lot of fun :) More to come!

Preview of a senior session from this week. Can't wait to get the film back from the lab :)

Many the Miles

February 17, 2014

The hardest part about being in the Southwest is that we're so far away from our own families. We don't get to see these cuties grow big (even though clearly the youngest is far more fascinated with technology) and we don't get to spend time with our parents who are exploring the world of retirement. If only we could convince everyone to move here... :)

These boys are moving with their parents and going on a huge adventure. We will miss them, but we know we will see them again! Some photos with Grandma and Grandpa before the big journey.

12 Rolls of Film | 2014 Project

January 21, 2014

I've never been one to make new years resolutions. On January 1st I woke up at 11am, had a cupcake for breakfast and proceeded to be extremely lazy. (Health, productivity and self-improvement win!) If I ever wanted to change my habits or work on improving something, I would start on those goals regardless of the time of year.

However, this year I want to start a project at the beginning and see it through. Each month I'm going to shoot one roll of film and the type of film, camera and lens will vary so that I can grow as a photographer. Also, it'll be a good creative break from grad school work (Sherwin calls that procrastination -_-). I'm looking forward to getting started!

A Girl and Her Dog | Cindy and Isaac

January 18, 2014

I had fun on this mini shoot with Cindy and her dog Isaac. Cindy is a talented actress/singer and has most recently appeared in Chicago Fire. We hope to see more of her character in the future! You can check her page out at cindy-chang.com. Oh yeah and Isaac is very talented at being cute, shaking hands, and rolling over :)

Of course, Isaac was not about to be outdone by Cindy - he showed us his vocal skills too.
