Karina | Graduation Session | Las Cruces, NM

May 7, 2015

It's that time of year again where many will be walking across the stage to accept their degrees - a symbol of late night study sessions, lots of coffee, and many years of hard work. Karina is one of those graduates who I have had the pleasure of working alongside these past few years. She is such a shining example to her children and I know there will be so many patients blessed to have Karina as their nurse :)

Congratulations to Karina and everyone else who worked so hard these last few years!

12 Rolls of Film | Roll 8 in August

September 15, 2014

I think this roll is most appropriate as a goodbye to summer. We had the chance to spend some time in Destin, Florida with family along the crystal clear, emerald waters. With this roll, I learned a lot about metering because I completely messed it up! I forgot about the strong reflection of the sunlight on the sand and how that would affect the images. As with most things in life, I was disappointed that what came out wasn't perfectly lit (perfectionist, anyone?!), but then I remembered that this whole project is about learning film - sometimes you just have to mess things up to get better. Thankfully, film is very forgiving and so not all is completely lost!

The Leonard Family | Cloudcroft, NM

June 18, 2014

In the midst of 100+ degree weather, taking photos up in the fresh and cool mountain air was a very welcomed change. The last time we saw this family on the blog was when they were bringing home their newest addition. It's wonderful to see how God has knit this beautiful family together. I'd have to say that Jeremiah seems to be adjusting well to his new role as littlest brother (sister hair pulling and all). :)

Taking family photos with little ones can sometimes be a bit of a struggle - but they're almost always a lot of fun :) More to come!

Baby Theo | Las Cruces Baby + Family Photography

March 13, 2014

Our friends Stephanie + Guillermo recently gave birth to this beautiful baby boy. He decided that he didn't want to be tardy for the party, so he showed up extremely early. God answered a lot of prayers that were lifted up for this family and little Theo was finally able to come home and meet his big sister. Such a beautiful family :) Warning: lots of little cute feet photos.
