I thought that since life was hectic this time of year, this next setup would be super easy. I used my old 35mm film camera that I received in middle school. It sat in my closet for the longest time and since it had been awhile since I used it, I felt how my grandmother probably feels trying to navigate her smart phone. It. Drove. Me. Crazy. I couldn't control anything - not the shutter
speed nor the f-stop (
control issues!? not me! <-- sarcasm). However, the pictures still turned out okay and they had their own unique look. I do love how the colors turned out at sunset. Oh yes, and props to Walgreen for still processing + developing film. (About the

Ooh.. I do want to play around with film more. THe one i had in h.s. is pretty much broken bc i didn't know how to take care of it. It's always frustrating when I have to figure out a new camera too.. even when i'm just upgrading from like a canon mark ii to a iii.. i realize maybe i am more a creature of habit than i thought. :) Yay for trying new things tho! I do love the quality of film.. that u just cannot replicate in photoshop.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see your work on film if you get the chance! I especially love the part about film where you don't have to do any editing (or very minimal). I've also realized that I'm a creature of habit (and laziness at times...hehe).
