On a recent trip to San Francisco to visit my sister, we decided that it would be fun to get a little dressed up and experience afternoon tea at the Palace Hotel. The hotel's Garden Court is gorgeous and makes you feel like you just stepped out on the set of Downton Abbey (the total fan girl in me wanted to squeal and run around like a 6 year old at Disney World, but I figured that might be inappropriate). The tea was lovely and the house made scones were delicious. We both had the Legacy Blend with hints of rose and vanilla. We enjoyed just sitting there, talking, drinking our 5 plus cups of tea, and relaxing in such a beautiful environment. (Needless to say, we were good on caffeine after our tea time.) This was our first experience having afternoon tea and we definitely recommend trying this place out if you happen to be in the area!

More Info: The Palace Hotel offers afternoon tea Sunday through Friday from 2-5pm and a special signature tea service on Saturdays that require reservations. (Afternoon tea is the more affordable option, but tea service on Saturdays offers a lot more in terms of service and delicious goodness.)
