12 Rolls of Film | Roll 3 in March

April 9, 2014

I promise I shot this role in March :) - a super busy month for us, although a very happy month because 3 years ago we got married! This time each year is high stress time and I had an almost ugh-I-have-to-shoot-a-roll-for-March mentality. But once again, I found that taking the time to shoot these photos became therapeutic. Grad school. Click! Work. Click! Clinicals. Click! Papers. Click!

There's always a classic look to black and white film - you can really focus on the subjects and the lighting at hand. However, I have to admit that I absolutely love color. In high school I once had someone ask me why I was wearing dark blue on that day because I usually wear bright colors (Thank you, fashion police.)

I do love the results, though. Classic black and white.

  1. I love this group of photos; something about the black and white makes me slow down and smile (and so cool that you captured that dust devil!). Beautiful and classy, as are you, friend :-)

    1. Haha, thanks, Norissa! :) That dust devil is actually a wild fire we caught on our way back home from Albuquerque - but it definitely looks like a dust devil in black and white!
